Equilibrium invites listeners on an emotive journey over the course of 12 songs, providing an experience that evokes positive reflection and emotion. The songs' lyrics convey a raft of reflective insights and wisdom Sam has gained through his life experiences. 

The concept of shorter songs comes as new territory for storyteller Sam who’s new direction is a nurtured and focused body of work following the indie-pop sounds of his previous releases. Having spent the past several years honing the indie/pop/folk genre, this follow-up album draws on melancholic melodies and contemplative moods. The fabric in which all Waves Rush In’s previous sounds have been woven tell a tale of passion, adventure, love, loss and everything in-between. Mother Nature and human connection have been some of Sam’s main inspirations throughout his life and previous albums. Equilibrium was written over just 8 days in Thailand with co-producer Richard Craker.
